About Evolve
Since 2007, Evolve Volleyball Club has been helping athletes discover confidence, build character, and fall in love with the game of volleyball.
Evolve was founded by Kelly Porter and Kelly Van Winden with a shared vision: create a club volleyball program that put athletes and families first. They believed athletes could develop their skills without sacrificing family time, burning out, or losing sight of why they started playing in the first place.
In 2021, Kelly Porter became the sole owner and director of Evolve Volleyball Club, continuing to lead the program with the same philosophy that inspired its founding nearly 20 years ago.
Today, Evolve remains committed to providing affordable opportunities, exceptional coaching, and a supportive environment where athletes can grow both on and off the court. While volleyball is what brings us together, our mission has always been about developing confident, resilient young people who are prepared for whatever comes next.

Kelly Porter
Owner & Club Director
Since co-founding Evolve Volleyball Club in 2007, Kelly Porter has dedicated her career to developing athletes both on and off the court.
In 2021, Kelly became the sole owner of Evolve Volleyball Club, continuing to lead the program with the same athlete-first philosophy that has defined Evolve from the beginning. As owner and club director, she oversees every aspect of the organization—from coach development and team culture to creating a positive experience for athletes and families.
Kelly was a standout multi-sport athlete at Vintage High School before continuing her athletic career at Napa Valley College, where she was inducted into the Athletic Hall of Fame. She also earned Hall of Fame recognition from Vintage High School for her athletic accomplishments.
Her coaching career spans elementary school, middle school, high school, and club volleyball. She previously served as Head Volleyball Coach at Justin-Siena High School, leading the Braves to a runner-up finish in the 2007 North Coast Section Championships and earning MCAL Coach of the Year honors.
Kelly currently enters another season as the Head Varsity Volleyball Coach at Vintage High School, where she continues to mentor student-athletes with the same passion she brings to Evolve.
As both an educator and coach, Kelly understands the challenges today's student-athletes face balancing academics, athletics, and family life. That perspective shapes Evolve's philosophy of developing not only skilled volleyball players, but confident, responsible, and resilient young adults.
